The whole process of producing an audio drama, from studying the script to recording, from post-production to initial feedback is basically over at this point.

I first listened to an audio drama about seven or eight years ago, and for the first time in all those years, I have switched from a listener's perspective to a producer's perspective on this media form. I was also pleased that I was able to work with the group to produce a complete piece of work in the end. If there is any part of the work that I feel could be improved after listening to it, and after listening to the feedback, I think the biggest keyword is - creativity.

What I understand by directing is the need to make an abstraction tangible to the audience, whether by sight or by sound. The feedback I have heard, whether it's about the pacing of the story, the music, or the performances of the actors, could probably have been improved if I would think about it more clearly earlier. I have found a small problem when looking for background music, sometimes the mood of the actors' lines may not match the music I think is most appropriate. So if, for example, I had planned the genre of music from the beginning and played it to the actors before recording, would it have been more helpful in getting the mood going? I think directors come up with a lot of ways to communicate their ideas to the cast and other crew members based on their own experience and attempts to make sure their ideas are understood. And that is the kind of experience I was missing, but at the same time this recording has given me that experience.

All in all, I am happy with the result we presented at the end. I can feel that this is not only the end of my course in audio drama, but that I have discovered an area that I had not been involved in before and am looking forward to discovering more of the skills and ways of working in this field.
